OUR STORY BEGINS WITH ONE BIG EVENT…
BUT IT LIVES ON BEYOND EVENT GATES.
After coming together to turn a 55,000 person music festival into Miami’s most sustainable event of its scale, we knew we had stumbled on something special. While the event’s environmental impact had been reduced impressively, the positive impact that rippled into our community is what kept the team inspired to do more.
We may specialize in impact reduction, but it is community engagement and education that we know will make the biggest difference in the world.
The team at Ascendance brings a special synergy of knowledge, passion and fun to every project we collaborate on.
Vivian Belzaguy Hunter, Founder
Vivian has a passion for utilizing events as a platform for much-needed social change. After 13 years in the events industry, she grew tired of seeing events create more environmental impact in one day than she felt she could in her lifetime. She has since created and implemented award-winning sustainability programs for events up to 55,000 attendees, becoming part of the shift that will have the events industry teach the world how to take better care of our planet.
Vivian has 20 years of experience in event communications and production as well as a B.S.B.A. in Marketing. She leads the team and most company projects, while focusing on waste reduction, pollution prevention, nature conservation and community engagement initiatives.
Vivian is also an experienced speaker on sustainability. From conference keynotes to workshops and panels, she thoroughly enjoys any opportunity to educate audiences on their role in protecting our planet.
